Phil Coleman is a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate who understands the challenges of becoming a dad for the first time. He specializes in supporting fathers and parents through the perinatal period and is trained in IFS, EFT, EMDR, and the Gottman Method. Phil understands that fatherhood can be full of the unexpected, like feeling disconnected from your baby, challenges adjusting, birth trauma, and experiencing depression amidst all the changes. Fatherhood can be lonely, but it doesn’t have to be a maze of stress and uncertainty.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by new responsibilities or unsure how to stay connected with your partner amidst the chaos, he’s here to help. Asking for help can feel like a sign of weakness, but Phil sees it as a sign of strength as you learn to find the support you need and your new identity as a dad.
Beyond helping you thrive as a dad, he specializes in working with couples as they transition into parenthood. The early stages of parenting are often full of joy, but they can also strain your relationship, shifting focus away from romance and connection. He’ll help you and your partner maintain intimacy and strong communication—even while changing diapers and handling sleepless nights.
Through your sessions, you’ll explore how to stay present and emotionally engaged as a couple, so you can experience this new phase without losing the spark that brought you together in the first place. Parenthood doesn’t mean sacrificing romance. Phil wants to work together to make sure you don’t just survive the early years of fatherhood and partnership but thrive through them—reconnecting with your partner and enjoying the adventure as a team.
Alongside his wife, Phil works for Landmark Counseling Practice, where she specializes in helping moms with postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD and Breastfeeding Grief. Together, they offer a holistic approach to supporting your family as a whole, virtually serving clients in Texas and Florida. Whether you’re just curious or ready to take the next step, Phil is here to help you find your footing and feel more supported on this journey.
