Hi there!
Everyone needs someone who believes in them, especially when you’re a new mom (or dad/parenting partner) trying to find your way through the jungle of parenthood. Being a California-licensed therapist and yoga teacher– and, more importantly, a mom of 2 kids–I’m here to support you with navigating the transition to motherhood and all the feelings therein. I have specialized training with prenatal and postpartum moms through my work in the MOMS program at El Camino Hospital for three years and a Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) from Postpartum Support International.
So whether you’re struggling with sadness, sleep deficits, scary thoughts, irritability, birth trauma, fertility issues, shame around feeding the baby, struggles building attachment, relationship strife, juggling multiple kids, feeling like a bad mom, you name it–know that you are not alone. I’ve seen many capable, competent women derailed by motherhood and get back on track with the right tools and support. The neat thing is that landing in a jungle might feel scary and confusing at first, but once you get to know the plants and animals in your new environment, you can use your skills to thrive.
A bit about my approach to therapy
I invite you to think of therapy as your mental wellness gym– a safe, protected space where you can set goals, learn about yourself, get active, practice new skills, experiment with new behaviors, challenge yourself, reward yourself, and transform. Therapy can be more than just talking about problems. We can make the healing process creative, connective, and even fun, by working with your body and mind instead of against them using various tools.
Some modalities I use include:
- Experiential Therapy
- Brainspotting
- IFS
- Mindfulness
- Yoga-Informed
- Expressive Arts
- CBT & DBT for skill building
I also speak fluent Russian and intermediate Hebrew.
As a result of therapy, you may start feeling calmer, clearer and more confident. You may begin to feel like yourself again. You may use more coping skills, and life may become more enjoyable.
If this speaks to you, feel free to reach out!
